ACCA 13-Territory Inspection Department

In a nation divided into thirteen territories, a sprawling organization helps keep everyday life running. Its inspection department is meant to ensure that the system works, yet routine oversight becomes entangled with political maneuvering and suspicions of corruption. An apparently untroubled inspector must navigate the space between official responsibilities and the interests operating behind them. Natsume Ono builds a political mystery through quiet conversations, distinctive places and the habits of the people who hold power. The relaxed surface conceals a growing web of uncertainty, rewarding attention to small details as the country's carefully maintained stability comes into question.
