Synopsis
Shotaro can borrow an animal’s abilities by biting its bones, but his extraordinary talent comes with an everyday obligation: he must perform one good deed each day. When the young traveler Mana encounters him, his childish behavior hardly suggests a dependable hero. His powers soon give her reason to reconsider. Their journey unfolds in a world where gifted people known as dokeshi are treated with suspicion. A missing governor makes that distrust even more dangerous, drawing the pair into trouble that enthusiasm alone cannot solve. Atsushi Ohkubo’s early adventure mixes eccentric abilities, comic mishaps and a stubborn belief in doing the right thing.
