Mechanical Buddy Universe

An android whose original purpose has ended discovers an abandoned baby among the ruins of a city. Choosing to care for the child gives the machine a new responsibility, and the pair begin building a family in a world still scarred by conflict. Their relationship becomes one of several unusual partnerships connecting humans and machines. Takuji Kato's collection combines brief, intimate scenes with bursts of science-fiction action.
