Victoria's Electric Coffin

David Douglas has reached death row after a harsh life in the slums, with little reason to expect a future. Young doctor Victoria Frankenstein offers him a different fate through her invention, the Electric Coffin. Reborn as Eins, he becomes her partner in demonstrating what the machine can accomplish. Their work offers opportunities to help others, but a second life also brings difficult questions about the value of a human being and the responsibilities of medical invention. Gothic imagery and speculative science frame the story of two outsiders trying to make something worthwhile from a chance that should never have existed.
