Donyatsu

Humanity has disappeared from the streets of Shinjuku, leaving ruined buildings and a great many unanswered questions. Among the survivors is Donyatsu, a creature that looks like a cat made from a chocolate doughnut. His food-shaped companions approach their unusual surroundings with a curiosity that makes the abandoned city feel unexpectedly lively. Their conversations, discoveries and small adventures provide an easygoing introduction to a world with something much stranger beneath its surface. The contrast between cheerful creatures and empty urban ruins gives the comedy an underlying mystery: what happened here, and how did these unlikely inhabitants come to be?
