Astro Boy

Built in the image of a scientist's lost son, Atom is a small robot with extraordinary strength and a stubborn sense of compassion. His adventures take him through a future shared by humans and machines, where technical progress has done little to eliminate fear, exploitation or prejudice. Osamu Tezuka moves between playful inventions and difficult moral questions as his young hero tries to protect both communities. Robot battles and journeys into space become stories about responsibility, belonging and the possibility of treating unfamiliar lives with kindness.
