Synopsis
In the distant future, humanity has retreated to the Moon while an army of machine lifeforms controls Earth. The war to reclaim the planet has continued for years, and a newly formed android infantry unit called YoRHa is sent into the conflict. In 11941, its soldiers descend to the surface carrying the expectations of those who created them. Set in the world of NieR:Automata, this manga follows the Pearl Harbor descent operation and the androids caught within it. Military action and a ruined landscape provide the setting for a story about duty, survival and the bonds that form under pressure. The mission's human ideals become increasingly difficult to separate from the cost paid by its artificial soldiers.
